TMTD is used as a vulcanization accelerator in the rubber industry, used in NR and SR. Mainly used in the manufacture of tires, rubber shoes, cable etc. Used as germicide and insecticide in agriculture, also as lubricant additive.
A slight odour,nonpoisonous.Soluble in benzne, methylbenzene, chloroform, carbon disulfide, carbon tetrarchloride, methylene chloride, acetone and ethyl aceate; not easily soluble in ethyl alcohol; insoluble in water, dilute acid, dilute alkali and gasoline.
Slightly foul odour and bitter taste,nonpoisonous.Easily soluble in ethyl acetone,acetone,dilute solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate,soluble in ethyl alcohol,not easily soluble in benzene,insoluble in water and gasoline.

pale yellow to amber powder or thin. Nontoxic. Not soluble in water, soluble in benzene, chloroform, acetone and carbon disulfide. Micro-soluble petroleum hydrocarbons.
Grayish-white or white powder notaste, nontoxic . Density is 1.13--1.19. Soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, benzene, alcohol, slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride Insoluble in water and gasoline.
Specific gravity: 1.25--1.35. Soluble in acetone, benzene, toluol, diethyl ether, ethyl acetate, hot CCl4 and hot alcohol, slightly soluble in gasoline, insoluble in derosene and water.
A little bitter taste, no-npoisonous. Soluble in chloroform, slightly soluble in benzne, ethyl alcohol and carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in gasoline, water and ethyl acetate.
White powder (granule). Density is 1.41. Soluble in 1% NaOH solution, CS2, benzene, chloroform, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in gasoline.
